be resourceful

I honed my figurebility skills, thus convinced resourcefulness can be taught like other competencies.
Roughly 13 years ago, I was told that resourcefulness is a valuable skillset and a worthy goal to pursue at any age. This feedback was given with humility, grace, and kindness. Despite my limited abilities at the time, I took note of the need to improve my efficiency and quality of work, as I often produced average results in extended periods.
In the following years, I sought out intellect- and skills-enhancing initiatives. I learned the basics of web development, became proficient in various SaaS tools, tested numerous CMS platforms, and strengthened my research and analysis skills. I also developed a voracious reading habit. These experiences felt natural and unforced, as I became more intellectually curious and thirsty for new skills. I realized that I had become proficient in multiple areas, leading to a well-rounded education—or that of a liberal education à la Renaissance period.
While the feedback I received years ago wasn't constantly on my mind, its impact was undeniable. Over three years ago, I realized I had become more adept at producing quality work more quickly—an improvement that felt instinctive. I recognized a form of intellectual growth, and I gained confidence in my efficiency.
I took time to consider how this newfound efficiency and proficiency impacted me, and I pondered the power of resourcefulness. It became clear that resourceful individuals address issues, discover solutions, and think more clearly, even amidst unexpected challenges. I had unintentionally honed my 'figureability' skill, as described on a LinkedIn post.
This led me to wonder if resourceful thinking could be cultivated like any other skill. I believe it can, but the path to mastery may differ from person to person. In my case, I became more disciplined and intentional about learning, embracing a voracious appetite for knowledge. I chose not to specialize in a single area, instead pursuing a path as an Expert Generalist.
In my view, 'resourceful' means executing tasks with cautious confidence, relying on one's inner ability to figure things out, even in unfamiliar situations.
